A team of five fighters proudly represented us today at the ICO Irish Open, held at The Hub at Cillin Hill in Kilkenny, Ireland.
This prestigious event marked the fourth instalment of the ICO Four Nations Series, following highly successful tournaments in England, Wales and Scotland.
The Irish Open brought together top competitors from across the nations, creating an electric atmosphere both on the mats and in the ring.
Competing across multiple disciplines our team of Kevin Cojocaru, Rayaan Ellahi, Amad Azim, Julia Glowacz and Isa Khan travelled alongside USKA Chief Instructor Neil Kelly to take on the challenge. Each athlete demonstrated outstanding skill, determination and heart throughout the day, delivering performance after performance of the highest standard.
The results speak for themselves. Our fighters achieved an incredible medal haul of 17 Gold medals and just one Silver, a phenomenal achievement at this level of competition.
Every member of the team truly fought out of their skin, showing resilience, composure and championship mentality from start to finish.
We couldn’t have asked for more from this group.
Their hard work in training continues to pay off, and they represented USKA with pride, professionalism and sportsmanship.
The ICO Four Nations Series now moves forward to its next chapter, beginning again on 8th March with the ICO English Championships at the Sports Connexion Leisure Hub in Coventry.
Preparations are already underway as we look forward to continuing this momentum.
A huge thank you to ICO Team Ireland for hosting a fantastic tournament and for the warm welcome extended to everyone involved.
Congratulations once again to our USKA team, you continue to make us incredibly proud, representing us with distinction both in the ring and on the mats.
