01-09-24 - 4 out of 4 for USKA on the TMA Rising Stars II fight card in Cannock!

What a night we had at the TMA Rising Stars 2 at the Premier Suite in Cannock this evening.
Three USKA Fight Factory Fighters all climbed through the ropes to compete in four action packed Kickboxing Fights on a stacked card of action.

Amad Azim Vs Ruari O'Hara (Dragonfoot Gym)
In a perfect match on paper made at 25kg Amad knew he was going to be in a fight with the current WKO World Gold medalist from Barnsley.
The fight started very even but Amad started to find that little bit extra in the second round that seen him start to pull away.
In the third Amad really found his groove and his confidence with fakes and flamboyance to finish the fight strong to claim a Unanimous Points Decision Win

Elijah Brown Vs Thomas Blake (AJ's Kickboxing)
Elijah had a barn stormer of a fight with Thomas Blake that started very even with heavy artillery being thrown in from both sides.
Mid way through the second round Elijah found another gear that was allowing him to finish the exchanges the stronger and push him in front.
The third round was Elijah's best with him showing swagger, fakes and feints in between his great work knowing he was on top in the bout.
Another Unanimous Points Decision win to the USKA Fighter!

Elijah Brown Vs Dorian Weiskineski (JBS Kickboxing)
When Dorian Weiskineski's original opponent fell through we were asked on the night if Elijah would consider taking a second bout against him.
Due to the fact that Dorian was 14 years old and Elijah just 11 we proposed that the bout be a none decision exhibition but that was refused by the JBS camp.
Elijah's coach Qasim beg knew it was a risk but decided to take the fight as a scoring bout knowing his fighter and how tough he was.
The bout was close but the sense was that Elijah was getting the better of the exchanges and was finishing the rounds the stronger.
Elijah really turned it up in the third round and on the sound of the final bell him and his corner team were confident they had done enough for the win.
Their confidence was well placed as Elijah's hand was raised as the victor with a Unanimous Points Decision.

Ollie Cooke Vs Peter Krcmarik (Huntington's Kickboxing) - WRSA Midland Area Title
Finally for USKA we had Ollie Cooke in his first ever title fight and his first 5 round contest against Peter Krcmarik.
This was a very good match on paper with two fighters with comparable records.
Unfortunately Peter missed the title weight limit by over 2 1/2 kg meaning he was not eligible to win the title but it was decided that the bout would still go ahead with Ollie still able to win the title if he was successful but having to give away a significant weight disadvantage in the process to try and get the win.
The bout was back and forth action from the start with a  very close first two rounds with Ollie landing the cleaner shots but Peter marching forward as the heavier fighter.
The third was Peter's best with Ollie holding his feet a little two much and on occasion getting trapped against the rope.
The hard work Peter had put in in the third seemed to have taken it's toll as he looked tired and labored in the forth just as Ollie looked to be getting his second wind.
Ollie was landing some great hit a move shots and definitely had put his best round in of the fight so far.
With both fighters seeing the finish line they put in a big push in the fifth and it was close until once again Peter started to tire and Ollie's sharper work started to shine through.
To seal the deal Ollie landed a perfect jump turning side kick at the end of the round and the USKA corner and fighter felt they had done more than enough to get the win.
The scores were announced and Ollie was announced as a Split Points Decision winner and new WRSA Midland Area Champion!

A big thank you to Gavin Burrows and his team at the TMA Fight Series for your hospitality and the opportunity and stage to allow our fighters to do their thing.
Annie and Steve at the WRSA for affording Ollie the Title Shot and allowing him to represent your Association as a proud new Midland Area Champion.
USKA Corner Team Qasim Beg, Mushy Younis, Ateeq Al Rehman and Zain Amer for an outstanding job as always looking after our lads in their fights and last but by no means least each and every spectator that parted with their hard earned cash to come and support and cheer our Champions to Victory!
