03-09-22 - Nikita 'Rapid Fire' Raubiska is the new English Champ

USKA's Nikita 'Rapid Fire' Raubiska picked up the BLCC -45kg English title yesterday when he put in a career best performance out scoring then dissecting a very good opponent in Teddie Jones from the Revolution Kickboxing Academy in Barnsely.
The 5 round title fight was part of an evening of Fight Sports at the TMA Martial Arts Academy in Walsall.
12 year old Nikita and 13 year old Teddie treated the crowd to some great back and forth kickboxing action in a close first round as both fighters sized up each other.
The second Round saw Nikita outscore Teddie with some great flurries that seemed to slow the Barnsley fighter down somewhat.
It was more of the same in the third with Nikita really finding his flow and employing effective hit, make em miss, make them pay tactics.
By the bell to end the third round Nikita was well in the ascendancy with Teddie really starting to feel the pace.
Nikita sensing he had the title in his grasp stepped it up again in the forth really applying the pressure with some effective and skillful kickboxing combination.
Nearing the end of the round Nikita backed up Teddie to the ropes and threw a spin kick that referee Mark Graham quickly intercepted at the same time that the Revolution corner threw in the towel to concede the bout know there fighter had had enough.
Nikita was declared the winner by 4th Round Stoppage and was awarded his BLCC Belt to the delight of the USKA crowd.
Big respect to Teddie and the Revolution team for stepping up to the challenge and putting up such a spirited performance.
The night though belonged to Nikita who had trained so exceptionally hard for the fight giving up most of his summer holiday's putting in the extra work with his coaches leaving no stone unturned.
Thank you to Gavin Burrows at the TMA Fight Series for the opportunity, to all the spectators that supported and cheered Nikita to victory on the night and the second to none corner team of Sean Quinn, Qasim Beg and Zain Amer that had everything more than covered from the sidelines.

Nikita... We salute you... Osu!
