08-03-26 - Team of 11 USKA Fight Team Fighters Shine at the ICO English Championships!

The USKA Fight Team were back in action on Sunday 8th March as they travelled to the Sports Connexion Events Centre in Coventry to compete in the ICO English Championships.

This prestigious event marked the opening leg of the ICO Four Nations tournament series for 2026, with further championships scheduled to take place in Wales, Scotland and Ireland later in the year.

An eleven-strong squad represented the USKA Fight Factory on the day consisting of Daniel Kiss, Adam Mohammed, Kevin Cojocaru, Rayaan Ellahi, Amad Azim, Musa Khan, Haidar Khan, Rayyan Salim, Dhruv Thakor, Julia Glowacz and Isa Khan. For many members of the team this was their very first experience competing at championship level, but despite stepping into the deep end they handled the occasion brilliantly.

Competing across a range of disciplines throughout the long and challenging day, our fighters showed great determination, skill and composure, producing some excellent performances inside the ring and on the mats.
Their efforts were rewarded with an impressive overall medal haul of 29 medals, made up of 20 Gold, 6 Silver and 3 Bronze.

With a number of athletes making their championship debut, the focus for the day was simply to gain valuable experience and perform to the best of their ability, and the team certainly delivered on both fronts.

Coaches Neil Kelly and Mushy Younis were delighted with the effort, attitude and performances shown by every member of the team and are excited to continue building momentum as the Four Nations series moves on to the next event.

A big thank you to the ICO for hosting another fantastic tournament, to all the supporters who travelled to cheer on the team, and most importantly to our fighters who represented USKA with pride.
