08-09-24 - USKA Clean Up at the WKA English Open Championships in Scunthorpe!
The USKA Fight Team were on the road again today all the way up to Scunthorpe to compete at the WKA English Open Championships.
The event held at the Bottesford Football club featured Kickboxing, K-1, Low Kick, Boxing and Continuous so the team was hopeful they would get some good bouts and some hard challenges in over the course of the day.
Our 12 fighter team consisted of Rayaan Ellahi, Amad Azim, Taiya Lovelock, Ollie Cooke, Krystal Durham, Elijah Brown, Isa Khan, Zain Amer, Julia Glowacz, Kaifah Imran, Maryam Sarfraz and Mohammed Hamza and was looked after by our coaches Qasim Beg, Mushy Younis and Ateeq Al Rehman.
Following a productive day of competition in the ring and on the mats we finished with an impressive medal tally of 31 Medals including an unprecedented 29 Golds, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze that also seen us placed in number 1 position as the top team in attendance at the tournament.
As well as being crowned top team we also had 6 of our 12 fighters in the top 20 competitors of the day earning themselves 3 Gold medals or more each.
We had some really inspiring performances today putting us in very good stead for the ICO World Championships in Germany in just over a months time.
