The USKA Fight Factory was once again packed with energy, determination and community spirit as we hosted the second event of our 2026 Charity Iron Man Competition Series.
With an incredible 76 competitors registered to take part, it was another fantastic day that perfectly showcased the hard work, enthusiasm and support of our USKA family.
Despite the soaring temperatures making it one of the hottest days of the summer, the support from our members and families was absolutely incredible with parents, friends and supporters cheering every competitor on from start to finish. It was another wonderful example of the fantastic community spirit that makes USKA so special.
This year's Charity Iron Man Series is raising funds to provide Solar Powered Submersible Water Pumps, Borehole Water Wells and Large Tube Well Hand Water Pumps in Pakistan and Uganda. These life changing projects will provide local communities with reliable access to clean drinking water, support agriculture and dramatically reduce the long journeys many villagers currently make each day to collect safe, usable water.
As with all of our annual charity events, this project is dedicated to the memory of our much loved and dearly missed students Khuzaimah Douglas and Azmat Yaqub, whose legacy continues to inspire the work we do together as a club.
The Iron Man competition itself consisted of six separate fitness-based challenges, with competitors earning points in each event. Once all six disciplines had been completed, every competitor's scores were combined to produce their overall Iron Man total.
Every child who entered received a commemorative USKA Iron Man Gold Medal in recognition of their fantastic effort and determination throughout the day, while the highest scoring competitor in each age category was presented with a prestigious USKA Iron Man Trophy.

Thanks to everyone's generosity through entry fees, donations made on the day and refreshments purchased throughout the event, we are delighted to announce that we raised an outstanding £1437.00 towards this year's charity appeal.
A huge thank you goes to every competitor, parent, family member, spectator, volunteer and official who helped make the day such a tremendous success. Events like this simply would not be possible without your continued support, and together we are making a genuine difference to the lives of people who need it most.
On a lighter note... judging by the temperatures, our charity ice pops were almost as busy as the competition itself! Thank you to everyone who helped keep cool while helping to raise even more money for such a worthwhile cause.
