15-06-25 - USKA Fight Factory Female Division Grading – All Passes!
Day two of our Grading Weekend at the USKA Fight Factory with today being all about our USKA Female Division.
A total of 21 female students took to the mats, grading from Red Belt (1st Grade) through to Junior Brown Belt (8th Grade) overseen by USKA Female Division Senior Instructor Ruqayya Griffith and assisted by USKA Junior Coach Husna Mahmood.
Over the course of the intensive 4 hour grading session with another 1 hour warm up class before that our students were assessed on a wide range of skills that included fundamental syllabus basics, single techniques and Kickboxing combinations, with our senior grades also demonstrating Shadow Boxing, Padwork, Bagwork, One Step Sparring and Sparring.
Gradings are never given and always earned at USKA accounting for how an candidate is applying themselves to their training in the build up to the examination as well as the assessment on the day itself with all of this having a bearing on their final score and end result of a pass or a failed attempt.
We are proud to report that every participant reached the pass threshold today but acknowledgments were made that we definitely would need to level up for many of our students if they are looking to progress to our next belts next time out.
Well done to everyone on their effort today and as always we would like to say a big thank you to Senior Instructor and Grading examiner Ruqayya for getting our girls ready and for putting them thought their paces on the assessment.
The next Female Division Grading date has been marked in for 21st September for anyone interested in working toward their next coloured belt.
