A strong squad of 15 USKA Fight Factory fighters travelled to Trojan Martial Arts Academy in Walsall today to compete at the latest BLCC Ring Continuous Kickboxing event.
Representing the club under the guidance of USKA Coaches Neil Kelly and Mushy Younis were Elijah Ellahi, Omari Ellahi, Aairah Mohammed, Adam Mohammed, Daniel Kiss, Kevin Cojocaru, Rayaan Ellahi, Musa Khan, Amad Azim, Haidar Khan, Zayaan Raza, Rayyan Salim, Isa Khan, Julia Glowacz and Sumayya Griffith.
Across the course of the day the team participated in a total of 19 bouts against a very good standard of opposition, giving every fighter the opportunity to gain further ring experience and continue developing their skills under competitive conditions.
There were a number of very pleasing performances throughout the event with the USKA fighters showing excellent heart, determination and composure under pressure. The coaches were especially happy with the improvements being displayed in ring movement, timing, shot selection, fitness and overall confidence as many of the fighters continue progressing steadily through the ranks.
Days like today are an important part of the learning process in combat sports. Every contest presents different challenges and valuable lessons, helping fighters to grow both technically and mentally. The experience gained today will undoubtedly play an important role in helping prepare the team for the challenges that lie ahead later in the season.
Competing regularly in different venues and against a variety of opponents is essential in the development of complete fighters, and today’s event once again provided exactly the kind of environment needed for continued progression and growth.
