18-01-26 - USKA Competitive season starts with a great BLCC event at Aero-Kick in Birmingham!

The USKA Fight Factory Fight Team got off to a brilliant competitive start to 2026 today at the Community Aero-Kick Gym in Birmingham at the 1st BLCC event of the year, putting in a strong showing and setting the tone for the fighting season ahead.

We took a 16-fighter squad to the event, competing in a total of 21 bouts across the day.
The team was coached by USKA Chief Instructor Neil Kelly, USKA Fight Coach Mushy Younis, and USKA Junior Coach Julia Glowacz, who guided the fighters through a busy and action-packed day from start to finish.

The USKA team consisted of Omari Ellahi, Adam Mohammed, Daniel Kiss, Kevin Cojocaru, Keyaan Shabir, Rayaan Ellahi, Amad Azim, Musa Khan, Dhruv Thakor, Haidar Khan, Abdullah Riaz, Julia Glowacz, Isa Khan, Maryam Sarfraz, Sumayya Griffith and Saeeda Begum.

As always, the day delivered a great mix of wins, a few tough lessons, but most importantly valuable experience win lose or draw with every single fighter stepping up, representing the club with pride, and gaining important rounds in the ring. The attitude, effort and teamwork shown throughout the day was outstanding and the coaches were extremely pleased with the performances across the board.

A huge well done to all of our competitors for your hard work and commitment, you 100% did yourselves and the gym proud.
