18-05-24 - Six Super Performances from our USKA Super Six at TMA Rising Stars event in Walsall!
What a day we had today at the TMA Rising Stars Junior Kickboxing Gala at the SNEYD Community Association in Walsall.
We had six fighters take part in 6 Junior Kickboxing bouts featuring three title fights on the whopper 29 fight card.
First up in his Gala show debut we had Ollie Cooke take on the seasoned Aero-Kick competitor Dinero Patterson in a three round Kickboxing contest.
Dinero coming into this fight was vastly more experienced than Ollie but Ollie had an age advantage which somewhat evened up the odds.
In a great debut Ollie was amazing winning all three rounds to capture a Unanimous Points Decision win.

Next up for USKA we had Ibraheem 'Pretty Boy' Mohammed take on the tall and talented Toby Larter from the MSD Evolution gym in Cheltenham.
Again, the USKA fighter was giving away the experience as well as a healthy height and weight advantage to Toby but knowing Ibby's potential his coaches were happy to take the match.
Ibby did amazing in his Gala debut dominating every round and scoring a count in the first round for good measure to win a Unanimous Points Decision.

In our first title fight of the day we had Elijah 'Bad Boy' Brown challenge former stable mate turned opponent Dawid Gizewski for the -45kg BLCC Midland Are Title.
The title and gym bragging rights were on the line for this one and with both fighters being very familiar with each other it was always going to be an interesting clash.
In fantastic style Elijah dominated the action from start to finish over the five rounds scoring a count on route to a Unanimous Points Decision win to claim the Midland Area title belt in a career best performance

Next in another USKA Vs Aero-Clash we had a high risk / high reward fight featuring Mateusz Klaczek against the vastly more experienced Ishmail Nicholson.
We were always going to be up against it with this one with Ishmail bringing with him over 5 times more fights experience to the ring than Mati but with Mati looking to make a name for himself in the junior Kickboxing rankings against the countries top fighters, he and his team were willing to take an educated gamble on it.
In an action packed toe to toe / blow for blow contest that literally could not have been any closer it was Ishmail that got the nod on the judges scorecards with an extremely close points decision that could have gone either way.
No complaints from the USKA team with both camps already in discussions about a possible rematch over the five round distance for a title in the very near future.

Next we had Nikita 'Rapid Fire' Raubiska finally getting his opportunity to fight for the WRSA British title facing Mackenzie Klinck from the MSD Evolution gym in Cheltenham.
Nikita has been one of the most avoided Junior Kickboxer in the country with many so called champions preferring easier options than facing him but he was excited at last to have his opportunity against an opponent in Mackenzie that was willing to step up to the challenge.
Nikita on his night is one seriously hard fighter to beat and Mackenzie found that out early with Nikita showing equal measures of skill, will and aggression to dominate over the 5 round distance hurting Mackenzie on many occasions throughout the contest to win a Unanimous Points Decision to lift the belt.

Finally for USKA and in the main event of the evening we had Undefeated Midland, English, British, International and European Champion Zain 'The Hammer' Amer attempt to fulfill a life long dream of winning a World Title Belt in front of his family and friends in the biggest fight of his career!
His opponent was the seasoned and strong French and European Champion Sifedin Mahi who himself had a great record and reputation and wasn't coming to make up numbers confident of getting the win and spoiling the USKA party and Zain's unbeaten run.
Zain using his height advantage over Sifedin turned in a faultless performance controlling the range and the pace of the fight against a fighter that was always in it and always dangerous but just not having the answers for Zain's exceptional skill.
An amazing performance by Zain and no doubt on the Unanimous Points decision as it was called in favour of the USKA star as he was awarded the WRSA World title belt.

We were so proud of the USKA Super six not just in their performances in the ring but in how they trained and conducted themselves dedicating themselves fully to the process in the build up.
A big well done to each and every one of you!
A big thank you as always to Gavin Burrows and his team at the TMA Fight Series for the stage, the BLCC and WRSA for the title opportunities, the USKA team of coaches for getting all our fighters battle ready and of course to each and every spectator that purchased a ticket to come out and support. We are extremely grateful and blessed to have you all in our corner... Osu!
