We had another successful USKA Charity Iron man competition at the USKA Fight Factory today with 40+ competitors taking part to raise funds towards this years chosen Charity project.
As a fundraiser all proceeds on the day will go toward the building of a Mosque in Uganda in the name and memory of our beloved students Khuzaimah Douglas and Azmat Yaqub who we miss dearly.
A great day was had by all with everyone enjoying themselves and at the same time putting in their best effort to do well in the 6 event competition.
All the points from the 6 events were collated at the end with everyone receiving a lovely USKA Iron man Gold medal for the efforts.
As well as the medals we also awarded the highest scorer in each age group a trophy for outstanding performances.
The overall highest scorers were as follows...
4-5 year old's - Noah Zidan
6-7 year old's - Iylaah Hassan
8-9 year old's - Oliver Kida
10-11 year old's - Zain Amer
12-13 year old's - Mohammed Hamza
14-15 year old's - Aadam Ali
A big well done and congratulations to everyone who supported the event.
It would only be right to also thank everyone who helped to make the day successful from Alva, Deanne and Aisha preparing our light refreshments. Riaz for collating all our scores quickly and efficiently and of course all our officials that gave up their time to officiate the event and offer words of encouragement to all our Iron Man competitors.
We are very pleased to announce that the Iron Man competition along with donations and sponsorships raised a very impressive £996 + change so the best part of a Grand.
Thank you to everyone that played a part today in helping us raise that total.
The next Charity event has been penciled in for 20th August and if we can pull it together it will be truly amazing.
