It was BLCC day on Sunday for the USKA Fight team at the TMA Martial Arts Centre in Walsall at the latest BLCC Ring Light Continuous event.
With a smaller team than usual with some of our fighters still building back up their fitness due to them maybe not training as much during Ramadan, we still had 16 fighters taking part in 19 bouts to keep us busy throughout the day.
Coach Qas asked for the team to be matched hard at this event to get them ready for the British Championships next week and many of our fighters were giving away age, weight, height and experience against their opponents.
The USKA contingent of fighters consisted of Muhammed Idrees Hussain, Amad Azim, Rayaan Ellahi, Kaiyan Sadat, Krystal Durham, Ibrahim Rafiq, Haider Khan, Ollie Cooke, Elijah Brown, Zain Amer, Ahyan Rashid, Mateusz Klaczek, Isa Khan, Julia Glowacz, Kaifah Imran and Ibraheem Mohammed.
Despite giving away age, weight, height and experience in many of the bouts today our fighters really stepped up to the plate performing excellently to the delight of our coaches Qasim Beg and Mushy Younis.
With the valuable ring time in the bank we now look forward to next weeks International British Open in Telford which also doubles up as a qualifying event to this years ICO World Championships in Germany.
A big thank you to Gavin Burrows and his TMA Team on another great event and to the BLCC for providing the circuit for our fighters to perform on.
Due to a very busy month of May the BLCC takes a break for the month but keep your eyes peeled for the next date in June where we hope to back at the Aero-Kick Gym in Birmingham!
