28-05-22 - Showtime Shak Lifts WRSA British Title

Shakeel 'Showtime' Hussain notched up another win against yet another unbeaten opponent on Saturday at the Premier Suite in Cannock when he defeated Ráth Mór Warriors K1/Kickboxing & Fitness gym's Jake Mooney by Unanimous Points Decision. Mooney from Derry in Northern Ireland came into the contest a confident 5-0 and looked strong and mature confident of causing the Upset against Shakeel who himself boasted an Unbeaten 3-0 record. the bout had the WRSA British -60kg Title on the line and was one of the main events on the TMA Fight Series promoted card. In a close and competitive bout over 5 Rounds Shakeel held off the game Mooney with his superior variety and shot selection impressing the judges to get the win. Shakeel has had an awesome run of success so far this year and is really making a name for himself on the fight circuit with even bigger fights being talked about for the near future.
