29-04-23 - Shak & Kaifah get the wins on War of the Warriors 5!

Only two weeks after his WRSA European Title Win on the TMA Fight Series event in Birmingham USKA Wonder Kid Shakeel 'Showtime' Hussain was back in action once again tonight this time challenging for the -61kg ISKA European title against the very talented Tejay Bacon from Alf's Black Belt Academy in Manchester.
Despite being a holder of two European Titles already (ICO & WRSA) this on paper was a very tough ask for Shak with Bacon at 20 years old being a lifelong Martial Artist training since the age of 4, a four times World Champion winning titles away from home as far as Florida in the United States and being a 3rd Dan Black Belt Instructor.
The fight took place on the War Of The Warriors 5 event at the Buttermarket in Shrewsbury and was part of a big night of Kickboxing action.

Before our main event we had USKA's 13 Year old 'Killah' Kaifah Imran take part in a three round kickboxing bout made at -48kg against the talented Myleigh 'The Little Lioness' Lawrence from the Venture Martial Arts Kickboxing Gym in Brierley Hill.
Following what was a close and at sometimes scrappy affair due to the clash of styles between the two Kaifah had her hand raised in victory with a Unanimous points decision win.

Main Event time for USKA now with Shakeel Vs Tejay in this much anticipated clash for the -61kg ISKA European Title.

In a dominating performance from the opening bell Shakeel's pressure and variety was proving too much for Bacon who looked under the cosh from the start.
As Shak was finding his rhythm it was clear that he was the stronger fighter of the two and following a footsweep from Shakeel in the second round Bacon claimed he had picked up a knee injury and left the referee with no other alternative but to wave an end to the contest with Bacon unable to continue..
So a second round TKO Stoppage victory for Shakeel in a fight that it was clear was only going to have ended one way if it had continued.
With this win Shak adds the ISKA Version of the European Title to the ICO and WRSA Titles that he currently owns at the weight and at the same time he takes another step closer to a World Title shot that he expects to get later on in the year with all being well.
Well done to both Shak and Kaifah for once again climbing through those ropes and getting the wins and a big thank you to all the spectators that came to support, it is very much appreciated.
