30-01-22 - Aero-Kick BLCC Event gets USKA's competitive year off to a great start!

Team USKA competed today in their first competition of the year today when they attended the Aero-Kick BLCC event in Highgate, Birmingham.
With this being the first even of the year and with people getting back into the competitive swing of things after Covid it was always going to be a busy one with 17 clubs from all over the UK in attendance and 77 bouts to get through in what would turn out to be a solid 10 hours of competition.
For USKA we had 27 fighters in 27 bouts with many of them taking part in their very first contests.
Our team consisting of Elijah Brown, Dawid Gizewski, Haider Ali, Hawwa Sarfraz, Zain Amer, Nikita Raubiska, Kaifah Imran, Maryam Sarfraz, Eissa Ahmed,  Anees Ali, Muzaker Rehman, Zain Ali, Aadam Ali, Mohammed Hamza, Mohammed Mustapha, Raihan Islam, Khadijah Riaz, Alfie Brookes, Tobias Cox, Josh Trivett, Abdul Ahad Adil, Sumayyah Mahmood, Khalysah Plummer, Shakeel Hussain, Ateeq Al-Rehman, Mateen Subhani, and Sumayya Griffith all performed excellently and notched up some very valuable ring time and experience.

A big thank you to our coaching team of Sean Quinn, Qasim Beg and Shakeel Hussain for getting our fighters ready, cornering them and keeping them safe in the ring. They all were over the moon with the teams effort and performances.
Also a big thank you to Colin Treasure and Ruby Robinson at Aero-Kick for hosting the event and giving our fighters a platform to perform and learn their craft.
It's back to the grind now with the next BLCC event scheduled for Sunday 27th February at the BKA Kickboxing Academy in Burton-On-Trent.
Preparation is the key to success in competition with the old saying of 'If you fail to prepare, you prepare to fail'... Let's do this... Osu!
