And just like that, another fantastic month of USKA Ninja’s training is in the books!

August is always a slightly different month at the USKA Fight Factory. With the school holidays in full swing, family holidays, days out and changes to the usual routine naturally mean that some of our classes are a little smaller than usual.

One thing that certainly hasn’t dropped, though, is the standard of training!

Throughout the month our instructors have continued to keep things fresh, delivering a great variety of sessions designed to challenge our Ninja’s physically and mentally while developing their Kickboxing skills.
We’ve worked everything from Padwork and Bagwork to reflex and reaction drills, coordination, combinations, defensive skills and plenty more. Of course, we’ve also found time for some of the games and challenges that our Ninja’s love, making sure that every session has the perfect balance of learning, development and fun.

August also produced another closely fought Star Student battle, with the girls narrowly taking the honours with 17 awards to the boys’ 14!
Congratulations to every one of our Star Student winners, but equally, well done to every Ninja who stepped onto the mats throughout August and gave us their very best.

With September now upon us and the school holidays coming to an end, attention will begin to turn towards our next USKA Ninja Grading. Over the coming weeks we’ll be sharpening up those techniques, working through the syllabus and making sure our grading candidates are fully prepared to show their families just how much progress they have made.

BACK TO SCHOOL – CHOOSE KINDNESS

As our Ninja’s prepare to head back to school, there is one lesson we believe is every bit as important outside the gym as anything we teach inside it.
Be kind!

For some children, going back to school means excitement, catching up with friends and looking forward to a brand-new year.
For others, it might not feel quite so easy.

Someone could be nervous about starting a new school, worried about making friends, struggling with their schoolwork or simply finding the return to routine difficult.
You may never know what another person is dealing with, which is why even the smallest act of kindness can mean so much.

Say hello to someone who looks lonely. Include someone who is being left out. Offer some encouragement. Stand up for someone who needs it. Be the reason somebody goes home feeling a little better about their day.

We teach our Ninja’s to be strong and confident, but we also want them to understand that real strength includes being kind to others.

So, as a new school year begins, we have one simple message for all our USKA Ninja’s:
In a world where you can be anything… always choose to be kind!
